Affiliate disclosure

Some links we share are partner links. If you buy or sign up through them, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price. Here is how it works, in plain words.

Short version

Cliqto Media is an independent digital media company. We build our own brands, websites and tools. We also recommend products we trust.

Some of our links are partner links (also called affiliate links). If you buy or sign up through one, the company may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. We always mark these links.

We write this page with the US FTC Endorsement Guides and the UK CAP Code (the rules of the Advertising Standards Authority, ASA) in mind: clear, honest and easy to find.

A partner link is a normal link with a small tag added. The tag tells the other company that you came from us. If you then buy or sign up, that company may pay us a commission.

The company pays the commission, not you. The price is the same with or without our tag.

Where this applies

This page covers all places where Cliqto Media shares links:

  • this website, cliqtomedia.com;
  • the websites of our brands, like Voxlo Studio;
  • our posts on X, LinkedIn and Medium;
  • our YouTube videos.

Which programs we join

We join partner programs on many topics, not only software. For example: software, online services, web tools, hobbies, education and more. We join a program only if its product fits our readers.

Our main program today is Apify. Apify is the cloud platform where our Actors run. All our links to apify.com include the tag fpr=cliqto. If you create an Apify account or start a paid plan through one of these links, Apify may pay us a commission.

This site may also link to other partners. Their links are marked the same way.

  • On our websites. Every partner link has the HTML tag rel="sponsored". Pages with partner links also say so in plain words, near the links or at the bottom of the page.
  • In posts and videos. We say when a link is a partner link, for example with "partner link" or "#ad".

Our own products

Our Apify Actors and browser extensions are our own products. When we write about them, we say so.

When you run one of our Actors, Apify pays us a part of what you spend on it. This is how Apify pays all its developers. It happens with or without a partner link. Because we earn from our own tools, we have a reason to show them. We still try to be fair. If another tool fits you better, use it.

How we choose what to recommend

Money must not change what we say. So we follow simple rules:

  • We recommend only products we use or test and that help the reader.
  • A partner cannot buy a good review.
  • We tell the limits. We say what a product cannot do, not only what it can do.
  • No fake reviews. We do not write fake reviews or fake user stories.
  • No coupon sites. We do not post our links on coupon or deal sites.
  • No brand ads. We do not buy search ads on a partner's brand name without the partner's permission.
  • No hidden links. We do not hide partner links or make them look like something else.

If you think we broke one of these rules, please tell us at [email protected]. We will check it and fix it.

How this affects you

You pay the same price. A partner link does not add any cost for you.

You do not have to use our links. You can always go to the company's website directly.

Your data. The tag only tells the company that you came from us. We do not get your name, your email or your payment details. We only see summary numbers, such as how many sign-ups came from our links. When you click a partner link, the partner's own privacy policy applies on its site. Read more in our privacy policy.

Questions

Do partner links cost me more?

No. The price is the same for you. The company pays the commission, not you.

Why do you use partner links?

They help pay for our work: our websites, guides and free tools.

Can a company pay you for a good review?

No. We write about a product only if it fits our readers. A partner link never changes what we say.

How do I know if a link is a partner link?

On our websites it has the tag rel="sponsored", and the page says so. In posts and videos we say so, for example with "partner link" or "#ad".

Can I use Apify without your link?

Yes. You can go to apify.com directly. Our tools work the same way, and you pay the same price.
