Web scraping means a program reads web pages and saves the data. For example, it saves product names, prices or job titles. You get a clean table instead of copying by hand.

An API is a way for programs to talk to each other. A data API gives you data in a fixed format, like JSON. Our tools work as data APIs too.

Apify is a cloud platform for web scraping and automation. It runs small programs called Actors. You pay Apify for use, and Apify pays the tool developer a share.

Apify is a large, well-known platform with many users. It runs tools in separate containers in the cloud. Nothing runs on your computer. As with any service, use a strong password and check the tool page first.

Collecting public data is often allowed. But it depends on the data, the site and your country. Follow the site's terms and local law. This is not legal advice, so talk to a lawyer about your case.

Public data is data anyone can see without a login. In many places, collecting it is often allowed. But copyright, site terms and privacy laws can still apply. How you use the data also matters.

Personal data has extra rules, like GDPR in the EU. Collect only what you need and have a legal reason. Ask a lawyer if you are not sure.

Most Actors read public data without a login. Some, like eBay sold listings, need your own session or an API key. No Actor asks for your password. Our browser extension works in your own browser, where you are already signed in to X. It never asks for your password. We do not build tools for private data.

It depends. Facts like prices are often fine to use. Texts, photos and videos may have copyright. Do not republish them as your own without checking.

Yes. Our tools try not to overload any website. They use sensible speeds and stop when a site clearly blocks them. Please do not change settings to hit a site too hard.

Yes, for our Actors. They run on Apify. Our browser extensions do not need it. You can create a free account in a few minutes.

Small runs often take a minute or less. Big runs can take longer. It depends on how many items you ask for and how fast the website answers.

Yes. Apify has schedules. For example, you can run a job monitor every morning. The new data is ready when you start work.

Yes. Every Actor has an API. You can start runs and read results from Python, JavaScript or any HTTP client.

Websites change, and tools sometimes need a fix. Tell us on the tool's Apify page or by email. We fix issues as fast as we can.

Apify lets you download results as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, HTML and more. You can also read them through the API.

Apify keeps run data for a limited time, based on your plan. Download what you need, or save it to a named dataset. Check the Apify docs for the current rules.

Only if you share a run with us. Your runs happen in your own Apify account. By default, we see only usage stats. A shared run can include its input, log and results. We use it only to fix problems.

This website has no forms and sets no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which shows us only totals. Read our privacy policy for the details.

We try to make it clean. Our tools return clear field names and fixed formats. Dates, prices and links come in a form that is easy to use.

Many of our monitor tools can do this. They remember past runs and flag new, changed or removed items. Look for "monitor" in the tool name, like Greenhouse Jobs Monitor & Scraper.

Most of our tools charge per result. Some also have a small start fee. The price per item is on each tool page. Many small jobs cost just a few cents. See our pricing guide.

You pay a small fee for each result, like each job or each review. No results means a very low cost. This makes it easy to guess your bill.

Apify bills you. We never see your card details. Apify then pays us a share of the tool fees. Our browser extensions are free, so there is no bill for them.

Apify has a free plan with $5 of usage every month. It is enough to test many of our Actors. Check Apify pricing for the current details.

Yes. You can set a maximum cost for a run. You can also set a usage limit in your Apify account. The run stops when it reaches the limit.

Sometimes. Apify tells users about price changes in advance. We try to keep prices fair and stable.

Billing is handled by Apify. If a run failed because of our bug, tell us. We will look at it with you.

Yes. AI agents can run our tools through the Apify MCP server. The agent picks a tool, runs it and reads the results. See tools for AI agents.

MCP means Model Context Protocol. It is a standard way for AI apps to use outside tools. Apify offers an MCP server for its Actors.

Apps with MCP support can connect. For example, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code. You can also use Apify with LangChain and other agent frameworks.
